In 2009, I decided to take my two boys, ages 11 and 13, with two of their cousins, to the Montana wilderness for seven days.
Little did I know this was a decision that would change my life. I was over 50, overweight and out of shape. To get myself ready, I started walking every other day with a 35 lb. pack. I quickly realized my feet were not going to take this for long without good boots, so I purchased my first Lowa hiking boots.
This practice hiking became a habit and my 35 lb. pack moved up to 55 lbs. Five years later, I still hike five miles every other day with a full pack, all year around.
I have almost regained my twenty-year-old youthful weight and I feel great. I have walked with a full pack over 3,000 miles, and just purchased my third pair of Lowas because I am not stopping any time soon.
My boys and I have been on numerous trips and have been back to Montana three times because the kids love it there. These boots are filled with many memories that I will always cherish.
Thanks Lowa for taking care of my feet throughout this life altering experience.
PS: My boys are now young men and both have their own Lowas.
