My Go-To Boots

I purchased my first set of Lowa boots in March of this year. I decided to go with the Ranger GTX and my plan was to use them as an early season, warm weather, hunting boot. Archery season would start in September for both deer and elk, and I couldn’t wait to get out there and put my new boots to the test.

My journey with the boots started months before, I would use them for my hikes getting prepared for the season.

I started off doing a mile to mile and a half hikes up and down hills and worked my way up to 5 mile hikes with a sixty pound pack on my back. Not once did the Rangers give me a blister or cause my feet to hurt, I was amazed and fell in love with them.

After several months and many miles on the boots, it was finally time to get out there and put them through the riggers of an eight day elk hunting trip.

I should mention this is an eight day elk hunting trip in the mid to high country of Wyoming.
